He makes phone calls; he receives phone calls. Lots of them. We learn what is happening through these phone conversations. And all these take place in one car ride. We see only Locke; all the other characters are just voices on the telephone.

This kind of storytelling is innovative. Tom Hardy's performance is riveting. The movie is an exciting joyride.
